Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Qualified for: Total refund minus any service charges
Timeframe for Processing: 5-7 working days
Service Fee: €50 for payments made via card
Prerequisites: Cancellation must be lodged via email or telephone in a written format
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Qualified for: Half of the entire charter cost
Timeframe for Processing: 7-10 working days
Service Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund
Prerequisites: A legitimate justification is required; subject to administrative costs
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Qualified for: Refunds are not applicable
Exemption: Extenuating events may be taken into account
Alternative Option: We may provide charter credit depending on management's discretion
Prerequisites: Proof must be presented for emergency situations
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Our main concern is safety. If the charter cannot proceed due to unsafe weather conditions as determined by our captain, we provide adjustable alternatives:
- Complete Refund: Issued if rearrangement isn't viable
- Schedule Adjustment: You can reset your charter to an upcoming available slot at no extra fee
- Charter Credit: Given a credit which remains valid for a year from the original charter date
Assessment Process for Weather
We consider the following in our weather evaluation:
- Inspection of wind conditions
- Assessment of oceanic circumstances such as wave height
- Forecast for visibility and precipitation
- Notices and alerts from the Coast Guard
- Security evaluation by a competent captain
Timeline for Decision: Determinations regarding weather cancellations are made a minimum of 4 hours before the charter is set to commence.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Cases of Emergency
We comprehend that urgent medical issues can arise. The conditions listed below might be eligible for extraordinary consideration:
- Sudden medical conditions requiring hospital intervention
- Loss of an immediate family member
- Unexpected military orders
- Mandatory court attendance
- Travel obstructions due to natural disasters
Documentation Required
In the event of an emergency, to process your refund request we require:
- A medical statement or documentation from a hospital
- A death certificate if relevant
- Proof of military commands
- A court summons
- Emergency declarations or travel warnings
Procedure: Emergency refunds will be handled within 3 to 5 business days after we receive the appropriate evidence.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Difficulties
If the yacht you were assigned encounters unresolvable mechanical issues:
- Substitution: We will endeavor to provide a comparable replacement
- Complete Refund: Given when an equivalent replacement is unavailable
- Partial Refund: If the alternative yacht's fees differ
- Compensation: We may extend extra tokens of appreciation for the inconvenience
Unavailability of Crew
On the uncommon occasion that a certified crew is not available:
- We will try to arrange a substitute crew when feasible
- Complete refund if the yacht cannot sail
- An opportunity to reschedule without any extra costs
Refund Processing
Method of Payment
Refunds are administered back to the original method of payment utilized for the booking:
- Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: Processed within 3-5 business days
Service Fees
Card Transaction Service Charge
€50 fee for cancellations more than 72 hours prior
Bank Transfer Service Charge
€25 fee for all refunds processed via bank transfer
International Transactions
Extra costs might be incurred for refunds with international scope
Charter Credits
Scenarios for Credits Issuance
In some cases, instead of a refund, we may offer credits for your charter:
- Cancellations approaching charter time, with less than a 24-hour notice
- Cancellations due to unfavorable weather conditions
- Customer-initiated reschedule requests
- Delays or disruptions due to operational factors
Regulations for Credit
- Validity: Credits are valid for one year from the date of issuance
- Non-transferability: Credits cannot be exchanged with other individuals
- Amount: Equates to the entire value of the charter, qualifying for no additional service charges
- Application: Credits can be employed for any available yacht hire
- Expiry: Extensions are not granted past the 12-month mark
Partial Service Refunds
Interruptions in Service
If your yacht journey is interrupted or shortened due to factors we can control:
- A refund calculated based on the unused portion of the journey
- Credit for a future yacht hire equivalent in value
- Complimentary offerings or upgrades may be provided
Interruptions Caused by Guests
If an excursion is prematurely concluded due to guest behavior or violations of safety protocols:
- Any unused time is non-refundable
- Full payment is required
- There may be an additional cost incurred
Resolving Disputes
Should you disagree with a judgment on a refund, you are entitled to:
- Request our management team to reassess your case
- Submit additional evidence or documentation
- Contact consumer protection entities for assistance
- Seek legal avenues as per the governing laws
